Working with our partners, OASES is able to offer a considerable range of bespoke CPD, direct support services and consultancy to teachers and other education professionals and organisations who wish to engage in Learning Outside the Classroom, a Global Dimension and Education for Sustainable Development.

What do we offer schools and settings ?

OASES staff are available to work with your school to develop the skills and confidence of teachers and other leaders through bespoke CPD, support with curriculum planning and specialist advice.  We also work directly with children and young people, delivering a range of exciting and thought-provoking activities, focussing on particular learning objectives.

OASES offers tailored services to all phases, to special needs, to extended services and can advise and support school governors.

What do we offer to local authorities ?

Working closely with our partners, OASES is able and willing to provide commissioned advice and assistance to other local authorities.  Using our considerable experience and expertise we are able to provide support with Sustainable Schools, Global Education for Sustainable Development and Learning Outside the Classroom.

In addition:

• Our ‘Services’ offer can be made available to schools and other settings across the north-east region
• A number of OASES ‘Projects’ are offered across the region where funding terms and conditions permit
• Our ‘Centres’ are available for occasional booking by parties from outside of County Durham

We have experience of supporting development at a strategic level within County Durham. OASES led the establishment of a Corporate Sustainable Schools Strategy for the County Council and currently leads an active multi-departmental group to further it. In addition, OASES  continues to benefit from a close relationship with the North East Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Schools (NESPSS).

What do we offer to the 'Third Sector' ,private sector and non-Governmental Organisations ?

OASES is able to work with you to maximise the opportunities for schools to engage with your organisation or project.

Alternatively, you may wish to sub contract your school activity to a third party. OASES has extensive experience of developing and delivering commissions or contracts from other organisations.  We are currently delivering programmes for The Woodland Trust, Learning Through Landscapes and Living Streets in the north east region.

Charging for our services

OASES must make a charge for many of our services.

The charges reflect our commitment to providing the best possible staff and a high quality service, while making the service as accessible as possible to our clients. Most of our Services and CPD are available for a set fee. We are, however, able to negotiate bespoke packages of provision.

OASES seeks to cover its own costs only, and operates on a not-for-profit basis.
