Welcome to OASES

OASES is County Durham's Outdoor and Sustainability Education Service.

OASES is part of Durham County Councils Education Development Service. Our aim is to support schools, young people and other interested  organisations by providing a range of projects and services associated with Learning Outside the Classroom and Education for Sustainable Development, including the Global Dimension.

OASES is a partnership organisation with Groundwork North East and One World Network North East (www.ownne.org). Through this partnership we are able to offer an increasing range of projects and services which are described eslewhere within this website.

The OASES office is based at the Esh Winning Eco-Learning which is a training facility for the North East, based within Esh Winning Primary School approximately 5 miles west of Durham City. For more information.
